01 Purchasing of Timber
The major products of our Company are the manufacturing of joinery based doors and windows with wide range of different designs made out of locally purchased solid wood such as Jack, Teak & mahogany etc. Also the doors and window frames are practically made out of imported materials such as Kempus, Tulan Balau etc.
In order to maintain our minimum stock level of timber and to meet the requirements of the production our company has a separate timber Purchasing and supplies department comprising of well qualified and experienced team of officers in the respective field. They purchase timber locally from timbercorporation and also from reputed logging suppliers and private timber merchants In addition. To the local purchasing of timber which are use for manufacture of doors and window frames are directly importing Tulan, Kempus,Balau from Malaysia.
02 Department of Timber Sawing
After purchasing the timber logs from the above mentioned sources they are transported to our timber sawing department and then classified them into their respective timber variety and later those logs are sawn to different thickness according to the order requirements using our advanced heavy duty type Horizontal , Band Saw Machine after that according to the order requirements of the joinery department they to the order requirements of the joinery department they are re sawn into different lengths and widths by the using circular saw machine.
03 Chemical Treatment of the sawn timber
Naturally due to the presence of starch and cellulose in the sap wood area of almost of all the timbers they are susceptible to insect and fungal attack. Because these two compounds become the ideal source of food supply for the fungal and insect breeding of the timber and finally they totally destroy the timber there for in order to prevent this sawn timber from this destruction of fungal and insect attack.
Immersing or impregnating these sawn timber in a solution made 40 % Borax and Boric acid equivalent solution along with 0.5 % (SPCP) sodium Penta chloro Phenate which will poison the sapwood and which make them in consumable for insects and fungal growth,
04 Timber Kilning
Once treated with these chemical solutions the moisture content of the timber goes up to around 100%. Therefore it is necessary to bring down the moisture content of the timber below 10%. In a shorter span of time such as 10-12 days. If the timber is left for air drying it might take well over two month for their m/c to go down below 20% we make use of most modern fully automated timber drying kilns for this purpose. The humidity inside the kilns should be controlled to suit the wet and dry bulb temperature this is done by way of heaters, humidifiers and ventilators which are controlled by way of the opening and closing of the solenoids.
05 Timber Lab
Our Timber lab is the central station responsible for all of quality checking and controlling throughout the entire process of manufacture .the most important out of them is the checking of the moisture content of the timber. This is done with help of chemical balances and laboratory ovens by the quality control department. Of the timber already stacked m / c could be ascertained with the help of portable Moisture Meters. The penetration of the preservative chemical in to the timbers again is ascertained by way of penetration tests and also by way of quantitative test using the titration method. Quality control personnel are also provided with the thickness measuring calipers etc. to carry out fits and tolerances tests.
Doors and windows made out of solid wood is the main Product of our company. The orders are accepted by our sales and marketing department / and the doers accepted by the Sales and marketing department is checked and approved by the quality control department to avoid any dimensional errors.
The timber requirement for the order accepted is notified to the timber processing department by way of list. From the timber processing department processed timber- (planed and curt in to sizes) Components to the specifications are released to the supervisor in charge of the carpentry and assembly section. Just before them e released to the carpentry and assembly department components are subjected to qualitative and qualitative analysis by the quality is the main objective of the finishing Department. Finishing is done under the close scrutiny of the quality control assistant specializing in finishing of the items.
06. Production Process of Doors and Windows
Doors and windows made out of solid wood are the main Products of our company. The orders are accepted by our sales and marketing department /and the doors accepted by the Sales and marketing department are being checked and approved by the quality control department to avoid any dimensional errors.
The timber requirement for the order accepted is notified to the timber processing department by way of a list. From the timber processing department processed timber- (planed and curt in to sizes) according to the specifications are released to the supervisor in charge of the carpentry in assembly section. Just before they are released to the carpentry and assembling department a qualitative analysis will be obtain from the quality department. Once conformed the quality of timber Finishing department is with the close scrutiny of the quality control Assistant who is specialist in finishing forces.
Our assembly departments along with the quality control (assembly) department take care of handing over the finished goods’ with correct dimensions and quality to the finished goods stores. Then the sales and marketing department hand over the finished items to the customer with the guaranty.
